The Book Lounge was a celebration of children's writing and writing for children. It filled the Ballroom of the Royal Festival Hall foyer, providing a welcoming space for thousands of visitors. The Lounge displayed work by local children following workshops with professional poets, writers and film-makers. Their work was hand-written onto crockery, chairs and lampshades and was printed onto furniture and banners. Visitors could add their own contributions.

Commissioned by Royal Festival Hall Education, The South Bank Centre, London, 2001.

Designed and created by Jane Revitt. With Lizzie Lockhart, Steve Gumbley and Tony Dyter.
